Employing people with disabilities need not be a complicated process. MDRS Counselors work closely with people with disabilities who require vocational rehabilitation services to prepare for, enter into, engage in, or retain employment and to reach the highest level of independence.

MDRS Counselors and MDRS Employment Coordinators work closely with businesses to provide assistance with recruiting, screening, hiring, and training people with disabilities.

Additionally, they can also provide assistance to employers with job analysis and job accommodation for people with disabilities and discuss available employer incentives for hiring people with disabilities.

OUR PURPOSE:

• Link businesses that need qualified job applicants with vocational rehabilitation clients who are seeking employment.
• Assist people with disabilities realize their maximum potential in the career of their choice.
• Assist businesses to understand their role in removing barriers to successful employment for people with disabilities.

WHY HIRE MDRS CLIENTS:

There are no compelling reasons to eliminate job seekers from consideration simply because they have a disability. Rather, it is in the best interest of employers to broaden the applicant pool in every way possible. Individuals should be judged on the skills and abilities they offer. It simply makes good business sense.
